In 2001, the company was established in British Columbia, Canada under the name of DocuNet Solutions (DocuNet). FileNet entered into a contract with DocuNet to help selling its software and services in the Middle East.   

In 2008, the company changed its name to Black Belt Technologies Ltd (BBT) and decided to expand its operation to Middle East.  Currently, BBT have two offices located in Calgary and Amman.
